Our Warner Institute Participant Handbook provides you with all the information that you need about being a participant in one of our nationally accredited training programs including details of relevant policies to your participation. You will receive a printed copy of the Participant Handbook as part of the information process prior to your enrolment and you can also download a copy here.

Since January 1, 2015, if you are undertaking any nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation including Warner Institute, you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is a regulatory requirement. A USI gives you access to your online USI account which is made up of a combination of ten numbers and letters. It will look something like this: 3AW88YH9U5. A USI account will contain your nationally recognised training records and results from January 1, 2015 onwards. For more details, we have included this USI fact sheet for you.
Prior to commencing your program you will undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. This assessment is not a test. It instead allows us to understand the level of support that each student might need to successfully undertake the learning program. This is just one of the ways we ensure that your selected learning program and qualification level is suitable, appropriate and a good match for you.
Prior to commencing your program you will attend an Induction Session. You may also need to provide Certified Copies of some documentation when you attend this Induction Session - you will have been personally notified of this requirement in writing prior to the Induction Session if this is the case.
Your attendance and participation are compulsory requirements for successfully completing your learning program and gaining your nationally accredited qualification. You are expected to attend all the scheduled training sessions of the learning program. We do however understand that sickness or other life aspects sometimes take over. If you are unable to attend your scheduled training session, you are required to contact your Program Manager prior to the day of the session to discuss your options.
Participating in your Program will include: Undertaking research prior to and/or after training sessions, Completing “Participant Assessment Kits”, and participating in some assessment activities within the session. Homework will need to be undertaken after the session and in your own time to enable you to complete your assessment.
If you think you will have difficulty in meeting the due date for a specific assessment and need an extension of time, you will need to talk to your Program Manager before the due date and explain your situation. Extensions of time for assessment may be granted under special circumstances. Any request for an extension of time must be applied for in writing using the Application for Extension of Time to Submit Assessment Form and must include an action plan detailing how you will work towards submitting the assessment by the requested extended due date. Please note that extensions are granted at the Program Manager and/or Education Manager’s discretion. Extensions are not an automatic right and must be applied for as outlined above before the due date of the relevant assessment.
Life changes. If you’ve changed job, your contact details have changed, you have a different workplace supervisor, you’ve changed your name, or any other of your personal or work details have changed from your time of enrolment, you need to let us know. Simply download and complete this form and send it through to us and we’ll ensure that your details are updated.
At approximately the mid-way point of your Program, and again after completion, you will receive an email from us asking for your feedback. This feedback is conducted online using surveymonkey.com to provide you with convenience to complete it at a time to that suits you and to ensure confidentiality. We conduct this feedback as part of our commitment to ensuring that this development program is meeting your needs. Your feedback is only used for quality control and continuous improvement purposes and your responses cannot be attributed back to you. This feedback normally takes between 3-5 minutes.
We also obtain feedback from your employer, direct manager or supervisor to gain an understanding of how well your training is transitioning within the workplace.

As part of this commitment, we welcome any feedback that participants have whether good, great, or not-so-good! Your feedback may take the form of a complaint, a suggestion for improvement or notification of an error. We’ll always treat any complaint you make respectfully, respond with the appropriate rectification as necessary, and preserve your privacy. You can be reassured that you will not be adversely affected as a participant if you make a complaint. You can download a copy of the Complaints & Appeals Form here. Providing us with this feedback will allow us to address your concerns in a timely manner as well as providing us an opportunity to further improve the quality of our training, processes and support services. We hope that we never give you cause to use it, but if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you can contact ASQA or the Australian Government's National Complaints Hotline.

Whilst Warner Institute is not a registered organisation with the Australian Government's Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) students can still access the service at the their own cost.
